The spin detector integrates the signal over the angle range indicated in Figure 18. By 
using a circular hole as entrance aperture, or by using the iris aperture of the 
PHOIBOS analyzer, it is possible to reduce the angle acceptance range to a 
minimum of 0.3°. With an entrance aperture 3 mm in diameter, an angle 
acceptance range of 1° is obtained, as shown in Figure 19.
