Using the Image View to display results

Scattering energy (SE) scans and detector voltage scans produce data that cannot be 
conveniently shown in the Plot View. The best way to view the results is in the Image View: 
 

1.

 

Select Views/Image View from the menu bar. The Image View will open. 

2.

 

Double-click the spectrum in the data browser to select it. A tick will appear next to 
the name of the spectrum. 

3.

 

Click the label in the Y axis and select a parameter: 

•

 

Scattering Energy for SE scans. 

•

 

Channeltron Voltage for detector voltage scans. 

4.

 

Click the bar to the right of the image and drag it to show the vertical panel. This 
shows the profile of the data. You can use this to find the peak of the scattering 
energy.
