Precautions on Adjusting
Note1:
Before performing the adjustments, check the data of page: 0,
address: 10 is “00”. If not, set data: 00 to this address.

The adjustments of this unit are performed in the VTR mode.
To set to the VTR mode, set the power switch to “ON” or set
the “Forced VTR Power ON mode” using the adjustment remote
commander (Note2).
After completing adjustments, be sure to exit the “Forced VTR
Power ON Mode”. (Note3)

The SW-436 board (VTR function switches) of the front panel
block need not be connected except for the audio system
adjustments and the LCD system adjustments. (Use the
adjustment remote commander, to operate the VTR block.) To
remove it, disconnect the following connectors.
VA-120 board CN2008 (50P, 0.5mm)

By setting the “Forced VTR Power ON mode”, the VTR section
can be operate even if the PW-129 board (Power switch, remote
commander receiver) of the front panel block has been removed.
When removing it, disconnect the following connector.
VA-120 board CN2003 (8P, 0.5mm)

The HP-139 board (Headphone jack) of the front panel block
need not be connected. To remove it, disconnect the following
connector.
VA-120 board CN2002 (4P, 1.5mm)

The LANC jack of the JL-001 board (LANC jack, ILINK jack)
must be assembled for connecting the adjustment remote
commander. So the following connector for the JL-001 board
can not be disconnected.
VA-120 board CN2000 (12P, 0.5mm)
But the following connector for the JL-001 board can be
disconnected.
VC-367 board CN009 (10P, 0.5mm)

The JU-001 board must be assembled for connecting the
monitor TV. To remove it, disconnect the following connectors.
VA-120 board CN2001 (28P, 0.5mm)

The battery terminal need not be connected. To remove it,
disconnect the following connector.
DB-018 board CN204 (4P, 1.5mm)

The LI-073 board need not be connected. But removing LI-
073 board (removing DB-018 board CN207) means removing
the lithium 3V power supply (LI-073 board, BT591), data such
as date, time, user-set menus will be lost. After completing
adjustments, reset these data.
But, the self-diagnosis data and the data on history of use (total
drum rotation time etc.) will be kept even if the cabinet (R)
block has been removed. (Refer to “6-3.Service Mode” for the
data on the history use and the self-diagnosis data.)
To remove the LI-073 board, disconnect the following
connector.
DB-018 board CN207 (6P, 0.5mm)

To open the DB-018 board, use the following extension cable
between the DB-018 board CN205 and DA-033 board CN104.

Note2:
Setting the “Forced VTR Power ON” mode
1) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 01.
2) Select page: A, address: 10, set data: 02, and press the PAUSE
button of the adjustment remote commander.
The above procedure will enable the VTR power to be turned on
with the PW-129 board removed.
After completing adjustments, be sure to exit the “Forced Power
ON mode”.
Note3:
Exiting the “Forced Power ON” mode
1) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 01.
2) Select page: A, address: 10, set data: 00, and press the PAUSE
button of the adjustment remote commander.
3) Select page: 0, address: 01, and set data: 0
