Drum
1. Removal procedure
1)
Peel off the head drum flexible board

from the flexible
adhesive sheet.
2)
Remove head drum flexible board

from the notch of the
mechanical chassis block assy.

Remove the drum fixing screw (M1.4
×

and remove
the drum assy

4)
Peel off the sensor flexible board

from the flexible adhesive
sheet.
5)
Peel away the adhesive sheet

(Use a new flexible adhesive sheet for re-assembling if a flexible
board has been removed from it.)
2. Attachment procedure
1)
Ensure that head drum fixible board is hooked on the tape
supporter block.
2)
Hold the tape-supporter block of the drum
2
and insert the
drum flexible board into the mechanical chassis block assy.
3)
Insert the two reference holes A and B of the drum
2
into the
reference pins A and B of the drum base assy.
4)
Hook the drum flexible board
D
portion on the notch of the
mechanical chassis block assy.
5)
Install the three drum fixing screws (M1.4
×
1.3)
1
in the
order starting from
E
, then
F
, and finally
G
. Then tighten
the screws.
Tightening torque: 0.059
±
0.01N•m (0.6
±
0.1kgf•cm)
(If the screw locking paint (Neji-lock) has been applied to

Clean the drum by referring to section 2-2-1.
9)
Perform the tape path adjustment. (Refer to “2-4-4. Tape Path
Adjustment”.)
Do not place the cassette compartment assy
face upward in order to preventadhesive
portion from detaching and not to allow dirt to
get on the adhesive surface of the sheet.
