Unscrew the bottom brace screw
(Figure 5)

Be careful not to lose the screw since it can
easily drop into the opening of the case in
front of the brace.

Remove the brace from across the logic board
(Figure 6)
and temporarily set the brace and
screws aside.
Disconnect Logic Board Cables

You will need to carefully disconnect the SCSI
and power cables
(Figure 7)
from the logic
board in order to easily remove the current G3
processor card. The cables should be discon-
nected in the following order:
• Internal drive(s) power cable
(Figure 7-Label A)
• Main SCSI cable
(Figure 7-Label B)
• Secondary SCSI cable
(Figure 7-Label C)
• Logic board power cable
(Figure 7-Label D)

Disconnect the internal drive(s) power cable
