Adding a Thermostat to the Security System
You can perform this action after installing wireless sensors, as described under “Adding
Sensors to the Security System
” on page 33. You can skip this step and add a thermostat to
the environmental system later, as described
under “Adding a Thermostat to the Security
System
” on page 124.
Note:
To update the firmware on any lighting device before adding it to the security system,
reset the lighting device to factory defaults before adding it to the system, so it can receive the
necessary changes to communicate with the Touchscreen.

From the Install Zones and Home Devices
screen, touch
Thermostats
. The Locating
Thermostat Devices screen appears.

Touch
Next
. The Locating Thermostat
Devices screen appears.

Touch
Next

4.
Reset the device to factory default to place
it in Search mode:
a.
Remove the cover at the top of the
thermostat device. A circuit board
appears with a black
Reset
button
on the left side.
b.
Press the
Reset
button. The device
is reset to factory default.
c.
Press the
Menu
button twice.
