4.2.9Check the flow and confirm that all clamps are open, there are no kinks in tub-
ing, and drops are flowing. If everything is flowing properly, press the YES soft-
key.
4.2.10Press REVIEW softkey to display infusion status while running.
4.2.11Press STOP and REVIEW softkey to change mL/hr.
4.3
Variable concentration
- Drug and mL amount are entered on the programming setup
screen by the operator after the drug is selected.
4.3.1Enter drug amount. Press OK.
4.3.2Enter VTBI. Press OK.
4.3.3Confirm admixture dialog prompt.
4.3.4Enter patient’s weight or BSA if required. Press OK.
4.3.5Enter duration of infusion. Press OK.
4.3.6Dose (if weight based) is displayed.
4.3.7Infusion rate mL/hr is calculated and displayed.
4.3.8Press RUN to start the infusion.
4.3.9Check the flow and confirm that all clamps are open, there are no kinks in tubing,
and drops are flowing. If everything is flowing properly, press the YES softkey.
4.3.10Press REVIEW softkey to display infusion status.
4.3.11Press STOP and REVIEW softkey to change mL/hr.
Priming Volume Adjustment for Primary Amount / Time Infusions Only
This feature is only available when using MDL version 6.5.0 and later.
This feature can be set per care area configuration (ON/OFF) in the MDL. It appears after all param-
eters are newly entered and after IV set load or reload. This feature allows adjustment (subtraction)
of the mL amount used to prime the set from the initial drug amount, VTBI, and duration.
