Problem Solution
The system is not printing
clearly or is not printing at
all.
•
Check the Printer cable connections.
•
Check the software Printer Driver setup
•
Check for errors on the printer’s front
panel and act accordingly.
•
Replace toner – contact local distributor.
The Scan probe is not
responding.
•
Replace the Scan probe.
6.3 Port Setup
Communication between the PC and the PM is through port COM1.
Communication with the modem is through port COM2.
Set up ports according to the following steps:
1.
From the main “Welcome” screen, click Exit and click
Exit to Windows .
2.
Click on the Start .
3.
Click Settings|Control Panel .
4.
Double-click Ports .
5.
In the Ports Dialog Box, select Com 1 and then click
Settings .
6.
Adjust the Baud Rate to 115200 and click Advanced .
7.
In Advanced Settings click Base I/O select 3F8 from the
list.
8.
Click IRQ . drop down box / Select 4 and then click OK .
9.
In the Systems Settings Change Box, select “Don’t Restart
Now”.
10.
In the Settings for COM 1 Box click Close .
11.
In the Ports Box, click COM 2|Settings .
12.
In the COM 2 settings, click Baud Rate and select 57600
from the list.
13.
Click Advanced ; the Advanced Settings for COM 2
appear.
14.
Click Base I/O and select 2F8 from the list.
15.
Click IRQ and select 3.
16.
Click
OK
and then click
Restart Now
