5.4.2 Jumpers on the I/O Isolation Card

The jumpers are located on the card at the base addresses of the serial
COM ports and the parallel LPT port. If the card is installed in a PC
that already has two COM ports and one LPT port, the suggested
settings are:

•

Serial—Com 2 IRQ 3

•

Parallel—LPT 2

5.5 Replacing the Parallel Communication Card

1. Repeat steps 1-9 from the section "Replacing the Computer". (See

instructions above.)

2. Slide the computer out carefully.

3. Remove the parallel card from the Computer Connection panel.

The parallel card is located in the PCI slot. Remove the parallel
card gently.

4. Install the new parallel card.

5. Perform steps 11-20, from the section “Replacing the Computer”.

5.6 Replacing the Scan Probes

1. Shut down the system.

2. Open the wooden bracket that holds the scan probe cables.

3. Hold the scan probe plug and pull it towards you. The plug will

then move out of its socket.

4. Insert the new probe plug into the socket and push it gently until it

is firmly in its place.
