Access control
When entering the navigation view you need to select one of the following access levels:
● Read Only
Allows no configuration. The parameter values can be viewed only (indicated by a
symbol). No PIN code required.
● User
Allows configuration and service of all parameters except calibration parameters. Default
PIN code is 2457.
● Expert
Allows configuration and service of all parameters including flow and density calibration
parameters. Default PIN code is 2834.
PIN codes can be changed in menu 5 "Security".
Note
Lost PIN code
If the PIN code is lost, provide Siemens customer support with the transmitter serial number
(see nameplate). Siemens customer support will provide a code to be entered in "Change user
PIN" (menu item 5.1).
Disable access level control
If logged in as "Expert" you can "Deactivate user PIN" (menu item 5.6) meaning that you will
always be logged in as "User" and will not be prompted to enter the password. Enabling the
access level control requires entering the "Expert" password.
Auto logout function
Enabled: You will be prompted for password 10 minutes after the last key press.
Disabled: You will not be prompted for password 10 minutes after the last key press.
NOTICE
Device restart
Whenever the device is restarted, the access level is reset to Read only.
