7.2.1 Required hardware
INFORMATION
SEW‑EURODRIVE recommends using an Ethernet cable with extended locking
device (e.g. from Harting).
• PC or laptop with Ethernet interface
• Conventional Ethernet cable
• ID module, part number 17974186
• ID module adapter for PC USB-M12, part number 17980240
• Adapter for PC USB-CAN, part number 18210597
7.2.2 Required software
• Parameterizable plant software MOVIVISION
®
parameter and diagnostics tool
• MOVITOOLS
®
MotionStudio engineering software version 6.10 or later (optional)
7.3 Startup procedure
During startup, the different components of the device are parameterized and/or in-
stalled. The following step-by-step instructions give an overview of the device startup
procedure and lists other applicable documentation:
1. Accept the Ethernet configuration of the device using the ID module. For more in-
formation, refer to chapter "Applying the Ethernet configuration using the ID
module" (→

147).
2. Load the user program onto the MNC45A controller. For more information, refer to
chapter "Loading the user program" (→
2
148).
3. Parameterize the device. Incorrect device settings can cause malfunctions of the
devices. Therefore, check the parameters and data sets and use only settings that
are correct for the function. For further information on software management, refer
to the following documentation: "Parameterizable Plant Software MOVIVISION
®
Parameter and Diagnostics Tool" manual.
4. Start up the inverter. SEW‑EURODRIVE recommends using the
MOVITOOLS
®
MotionStudio engineering software for comprehensive startup with
functions such as manual operation. With the USB-CAN adapter, inverters that are
integrated in the device can be directly addressed via SBus interface. To do this,
stop the application and/or the data exchange to the inverter during the access.
