The authenticity of the CA certificate can be verified by means of a
so-called
root certificate
issued by the certification authority. The
root certificate is stored on an authentication server in the network.
Upon delivery, a certificate (the so-called
default certificate)
is
stored in the TPG. It is recommended that you replace the default
certificate by a self-signed certificate or CA certificate as soon as
possible.

How to Create a Self-Signed Certificate
When a certificate is created on the TPG for the first time, a list of
parameters is displayed that are required for the certificate.
If a self-signed certificate or a CA certificate has already been saved
in the TPG, the content of this certificate will be displayed. In this
case you have to delete the existing certificate first; see: ’How to
Delete Certificates’

84.
