5. Define if the messaging is to be realized for the given input if the telephone line is OK
(see: "TL ok, mess.IN1–4" p. 39).
9.2 Starting the SMS messaging
1. Enter the SMS center number, unless it has been written to the SIM card memory by the
operator ("SMS centre No / SMS centre SIM2" p. 31).
2. Define, as required, the rules for messaging about module related events (see
"Assignment of events" p. 39).
3. Define if the messaging is to be realized for the given input if the telephone line is OK
(see: "TL ok, mess.IN1–4" p. 39).
9.2.1 Changing the text messages content by means of SMS
The messages may consist of 32 characters, but must not contain the diacritical
marks.
1. Initiate the service mode.
2. Enter the "Messaging" submenu.
3. Select the function for programming the given content of SMS message (see: p. 39).
4. Press and hold down simultaneously the NEXT and CHANGE buttons for about 1 second.
5. If the current message content is a default one, the "Reading from SMS" information will
appear on the display. The module will enter the state of waiting for SMS message for
about 110 seconds.
6. If the current message content is not a default one, press and hold down the NEXT and
CHANGE buttons to erase it. Use the buttons again to display the default message. Press
and hold down both buttons again for the module to enter the state of waiting for SMS
message.
7. Send an SMS message to the telephone number of GSM module. The message must
have the following form:
(*xxxxxx*)
, where "xxxxxx" is the message content. After
receiving it, the module will generate 2 short beeps and show the received text on the
display.
8. Confirm the changes made by pressing OK.
9. Enter the next messages.
10. Exit the service mode.
9.3 Starting the CLIP messaging
1. If the CLIP messaging is to be realized with acknowledgement, select the "Ack. CLIP
2. Specify the number of retries of messaging to the given telephone number
("Attempts/tel.1–4" function p. 39).
3. If the module is to send an SMS message to the selected telephone number if the receipt
of notification message is not acknowledged, enable the "SMS mess 1–4 fail" option (see:
p. 39).
