Removing a card

Confirm that the power is turned off.
œ
Press the power button to turn off the camera.
œ
When the power is turned off, the stand-by indicator
turns off. In addition, if the lens is protruding, it
automatically retracts and closes.

Make sure the accessing indicator is not flashing, then
open the card slot cover.
œ
If the accessing indicator is lit or flashing, then the digital
camera is writing to the card. Never remove the card at
this time.

Raise the eject button.

Push in the eject button and remove the card.

Close the card slot cover.
NOTE

Regarding the number of images that can be stored on the card, please refer to “Possible No.
of images/possible shooting time/possible recording time” (see page 136).
œ
By using the card together with a commercially available PC card adapter for CompactFlash
cards, the card can be used as a PC card conforming to PC Card Standard-ATA.
