GS-818 GPS/GSM/GPRS Vehicle Tracker User Manual

External Device Setting

Currently GS-818 supports 3 types of external devices:

1. Barcode Reader (Scanner)

2. RFID Reader

3. Garmin PND (

Portable Navigation Device)

For Barcode Reader and RFID Reader applications, the regular GPRMC data will be reported with Barcode or RFID

information when scanning the Barcode or RFID from the reader which is connected to the device.

For Garmin PND application, the device can communicate with Garmin PND and server as a “bridge”, and then send the

message to the server from PND.

Following is the SMS command to set up the External Device application. For the detail, please refer to the related

manuals.
