ADDING TONER
When toner runs out, the message “CHANGE THE TONER CARTRIDGE” will appear on the display indicating that the
toner cartridge must be replaced. For some models, a message to replace the developer cartridge may appear.
For the procedure for replacement of these cartridges, see the separate “Operation manual (Read this document before
installing the product.).”

Insert a new toner cartridge.
Push the cartridge in until
it locks securely into
place.

Gently remove the sealing tape from the
cartridge.

Return the cartridge lock lever.

Close the front cover.

Open the front cover.

Lower the cartridge lock lever.

While depressing the lock release button, pull
out the toner cartridge and remove it.

Remove a new toner cartridge from the pack-
age and shake it horizontally five or six times.
