Scanboxes
"Scanboxes" are directories which can be used to file scans and to access them via the network. In
general, there a two types of scan boxes:
Local scan boxes: The scan directory is located on the device and can be accessed via the
network by way of a Windows access permission.
Remote scan boxes: The scan directory is located on a host in a network which can be
accessed by the printer by way of a Windows access permission.

In order to configure scan boxes, press the button "Scanboxes (Scan-to-File)" in the settings menu.
The wizard depicted in Figure 6.4 is displayed. Just follow the instructions and questions on the
screen to add, delete, or change scan boxes.

:
Scanbox Name
: A freely selectable name (without special characters). Afterwards, the
scan box is accessible under this name as Windows access permission, e.g.
\\192.168.1.2\MyScanbox.
Username/Password
(optional): Access protection for the scan box when collecting the
scans via the Windows access permission.
Public access
: Defines whether any user is allowed to use the scan box as scan target
directory in the ROWE SCAN APP or whether access is protected by a user
name/password.
