Translation of the Original Instruction Manual
General Safety Instructions
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury, the user must read and understand
the instruction manual.
WARNING
Read all the safety notes and instructions. Failure to heed the
safety notes and instructions can lead to electric shock, fire and/or severe
injuries.
Keep al safety notes and instructions for the future.
The term "power tool" used in the safety notes refers to mains operated power tools
(with power cable) and battery operated power tools (without power cable).
1) Workplace safety
a) Keep your workplace clean and well lit.
Untidiness and unlit work areas can
lead to accidents.
b) Do not work with power tools in an explosive environment in which there
are inflammable liquids, gases or dusts.
Power tools produce sparks which
can ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and other persons away when using the power tool.
Distrac-
tions can lead to you losing control of the tool.
2) Electrical safety
a) The plug of the power tool must fit into the socket. The plug may not be
modified in any way.
Do not use adapter plugs with protective earthed power
tools. Unmodified plugs and matching sockets reduce the risk of an electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cookers
and refrigerators.
There is a greater risk of electric shock when your body is
earthed.
c) Keep the power tools out of the rain and wet.
Penetration of water into the
power tool increases the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not misuse the cable to carry or hang up the power tool or to pull the
plug out of the socket. Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges or
moving tool parts.
Damaged or knotted cables increase the risk of electric
shock.
e) When working with a power tool outdoors only use extension cables which
are suitable for outdoor work.
Use of an extension cable suitable for outdoor
work reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If use of the power tool in a wet environment is unavoidable, use a fault
current circuit breaker.
The use of a fault current circuit breaker reduces the
risk of electric shock.
3) Safety of persons
a) Be cautious, pay attention to what you are doing and use power tools
reasonably and responsibly. Do not use power tools when you are tired or
under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medicines.
Just one careless moment
when using the power tool can lead to serious injury.
b) Wear personal safety equipment and always wear safety glasses.
Wearing
personal safety equipment such as a dust mask, non-slip safety shoes, a safety
helmet or ear protectors reduces the risk of injuries.
c) Avoid accidental operation. Make sure that the power tool is switched off
before connecting it to the power supply and/or the battery, picking up or
carrying it.
Carrying the electrical device with your finger on the switch or
connecting it to the power supply switched on can lead to accidents.
d) Remove setting tools or wrenches before switching on the power tool.
A
tool or key left in a rotating part of the device can cause injuries.
e) Avoid abnormal body posture. Make sure that you have a firm footing and
keep your balance at all times.
You then have better control over the tool in
unexpected situations.
f) Wear suitable clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving parts.
Loose clothing, jewellery or
long hair can get caught in moving parts.
g) If dust extractors and collectors are fitted, make sure that these are connected
and used properly.
Use of a dust extractor can reduce the risks caused by dust.
4) Use and handling of the power tool
a) Do not overload the tool. Use the power tool suitable for the work you are
