If you select "ENABLE," you must set the [EDGE DETECTION] menu item to "DISABLE."

Descrip tion

Setting this menu item to "ENABLE" can keep you from forgetting to redo the setting when you change the 
media. However, be sure to also set the [EDGE DETECTION] menu item to "DISABLE." (P. 125 "Using Trans-
parent Media"). When [EDGE DETECTION] is set to "ENABLE," [SHEET REMAIN] is not displayed automatically.
