4.4.2 Placing the R&S EVSF1000 on a Bench Top
To place the R&S EVSF1000 on a bench top
1. Place the R&S EVSF1000 on a stable, flat and level surface. Ensure that the
surface can support the weight of the instrument. For information on the
weight, see the data sheet.
2. CAUTION! The product can fall over and cause injury. The top surface is too
small for stacking. Never stack another product on top of the product.
As an alternative, you can mount several instruments in a rack.
3. NOTICE! Overheating can damage the product.
Prevent overheating as follows:
● Keep a minimum distance of 10
cm between the fan openings of the
R&S EVSF1000 and any object in the vicinity.
● Do not place the R&S EVSF1000 next to heat-generating equipment such
as radiators or other products.
4.5 Connecting to Power
The R&S EVSF1000 is equipped with a DC power supply connector on the rear
panel of the instrument that can be connected to the board power of an aircraft.
For use outside an aircraft, you can use an optional AC/DC power supply unit.
