SUBJECT: PRE-TRANSFER LAMP AND QUENCHING LAMP STAY "ON"
SYMPTOM:
1. FT4527/5535 Copiers Only
When the LCT runs out of paper in the middle of a multi-copy run, the Pre-transfer Lamp and
Quenching Lamp stay "ON" until the front door is opened or the paper tray is loaded and the copy job
is resumed.
2. FT4027/4527/5035/5535 Copiers
When the By-pass Feed Table runs out of A4 / Letter size (sideways feed) paper in the middle of a
multi-copy run, the Pre-transfer Lamp and Quenching Lamp stay "ON" until the front door is opened
or the paper tray is loaded and the copy job is resumed.
CAUSE:
"E" Version Software.
SOLUTION:
Install "F" - Version (or newer revision) Software.
UNITS AFFECTED:
All FT4027/4527/5035/5535 copiers manufactured after Serial Number A3635020001, A3715020001,
A3625020001 and A3695020001 respectively will have upgraded software installed during production.
ORDERING PROCEDURE:
To obtain the latest version ROM at no charge, please complete and fax the attached form to Technica l
Services or download a Hex file for local programming via the Ricoh Technical Services BBS (refer to
Service News and Information No.147)
