Operating the piston filler

Version 1.1
4.5.6
Hydraulic ramp
The filling output can be set to a high or low value here (setting range from
50-150%). Very high filling output can result in a casing blow-up or pear-
shaped sausages and too less filling output results in poorer portioning
performance.
4.5.7
Weight correction
The output volume can be compared with the actual volume here (setting
range from –5000 to 5000 cm³). e.g. the set value in the Weight input field is
100 cm³, the filled weight is 93 g (= 100 cm³); a change of +7 cm³ can be
made so as to get to the desired of 100 g.
4.5.8
Lead/lag of the clip impulse
This value (setting range from –200 to 200 ms) determines the time taken to
start the clip machine before or after a portion has been filled. The set lead
or lag influences the clock rate of the clip machine and thus the portion
number as well.
4.5.9
Portioning interruption off/on:
Portioning interruption – deactivated.
If the knee lever is released (in case of single portioning) when a portion is
being filled or tapped once again (in case of permanent portioning, piece
specification), the conveying system does not stop immediately in the
normal mode, but fills the already started portion till the end.
Portioning interruption – active.
The filling process stops immediately, if the portioning interruption is still
activated for the respective programme and the operator presses the knee
lever during the filling process or the “emergency-stop switch” in case of clip
machines. The current portion is not filled completely.
4.5.10
Twisting-off
The set value (setting range from 1 to 15 rotations) determines the number
of twist-offs at the end of the portioning.
4.5.11
Twisting-off position
Break between the end of the portion filling and start of the twisting-off in ms
Can also be negative, i.e. filling and twisting-off overlap.
4.5.12
Filling position
Break between the end of the twisting-off and start of the portion filling in ms
Can also be negative, i.e. filling and twisting-off overlap
