"Check" machine status before switching it on
Ensure the following before switching on the piston filler:

roasting piston is fully available and arranged along with the seal,
rotary piston, roasting cylinder seal as well as filling pipe nut
-
movable parts are not jammed or damaged
-
electrical equipment such as switches, cables, plugs, pushbuttons etc.
are intact and functional

The product to be used complies with the intended use (refer to
section 2.2 Use

Defective or worn parts adversely affect the safety and must be replaced
immediately!
According to UVV Meat Processing Machines (VBG 19), insured
persons must check the functional efficiency of safety equipment
per working day before “starting” the meat processing machines.
Any faults must be immediately notified to the supervisor. In case
of faults which put the occupational safety at risk, the piston filler
must not be put into operation.
The supervisor must get the faulty safety equipment exchanged or
repaired immediately.
