OPERATING THE PISTON FILLER
4.1
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Never switch on the piston filler without having eliminated every
possibility of danger to human beings in advance!
Dangers can never be eliminated completely, but can be reduced by
complying with the important safety rules. Hence, the following must be
checked per working day before starting the production:
The product to be used complies with the intended use (refer to chapter 2.2
Use
).
•
No person is present in the area of moving machine parts.
•
No foreign matter (wood, cloth, tools etc.) is present in the roasting
cylinder or in the rotary piston of the piston filler.
•
Operating personnel is suitable and is trusted to work with the piston
filler.
•
The operating personnel is familiar with the safety regulations.
•
The machine is in proper condition, e.g.:

safety equipment of the piston filler is complete and intact
-
safety, inspection and control equipment are in a flawless, reliable
condition
-
all lids or covers are closed
-
roasting piston, cover seal as well as rotary piston are fit correctly.
