Double Bar Graph
A Double Bar Graph is a rectilinear gauge with either two or four expanding bars that can be
configured to move either left-right, right-left, bottom-top, or top-bottom along the scale.
Double Bar Graphs can be used to display two dynamically changing parameters available in
GPS or CAN being logged by the Video VBOX LITE such as Lateral and Longitudinal
Acceleration.
There are two main components of a Single Bar Graph, the graph background and the bar graph itself. These
components have editable properties which allow the user to customise existing Bar Graphs or create entirely new
ones. These are accessed through the Element properties window and are as follows:
Double Bar Graph Creation
1: Starting a New Double Bar Graph
From the Menu bar select ‘Elements’
‘New’, this produces a dropdown
menu listing the different types of Element it is possible to add to the Scene
e.g. Gauge, Image, Picture-In-Picture etc.
Selecting ‘Double Bar Graph’ will add a blank scratchpad to the Main View Window. The
Element Properties window will now reflect the properties of the Single Bar Graph
Element just created.
There are five main components of a Double Bar Graph, the background and four
expanding bars. The expanding bars are automatically added to the blank scratchpad
when a new Bar Graph Element is added to the Scene.
These components have editable properties which allow the parameters of the Bar Graph to be modified to suit the
needs of the user.
Background
The back ground of the Double Bar Graph determines what the graph looks like, it can be a Bitmap, JPEG or PNG file of
a Bar Graph face which has been supplied with the software or created by the user.
2: Loading a Background
To create a new Double Bar Graph, or change the background of an
existing Bar Graph, click the load button under the background
properties. This will bring up a file browser dialogue which will enable
the user to navigate to the directory containing the background file.
Once the Bar Graph background has been selected the graph bars can be positioned in
the correct place on the background and the parameters configured.
