Maintenance

Replace the toner cartridge that you removed in step 2.

10 Replace the printer's top cover.

Note:

To ensure optimal print quality, the following step must be

completed.

11 Use the printer control panel to reset the printer’s developer-

tracking feature (this clears any DEV LOW message that may
appear in the message window):

Press the Online/Offline key.

Press the Menu key.

Press the Next key until ADMINISTRATION appears in the

message window, then press the Select key.

Press the Next key until ENGINE appears in the message

window, then press the Select key.

Press the Next key until CLEAR WARNING appears in the

message window, then press the Select key.

Press the Next key until the developer color you just replaced

appears in the message window (for example, if you just

changed the yellow developer, select YELLOW DEV LOW),

then press the Select key.

Press the Online/Offline key.
