PRV-9000 Operating Instructions
Because the Timer is stored on the disc, the recording program activates
automatically every time the disc is loaded in to the recorder. Follow the
directions below to prepare a disc for storing a timer recording program. If the
disc is already prepared for disc timer recording, skip to Program A Disc
Timer Recording in the instructions below.
Note: Before programming for disc timer, set the disc to VR format.
Prepare Media for Disc Timer Programming:
1. Load a recordable disc in to the recorder.
If loading an unformatted DVD-RW disc, it is automatically formatted as
a VR disc. This process requires approximately 40 seconds.
2. Press
SETUP
to display the Setup menu.
If disc timer recording is active, the first menu item is Disc Timer Rec.
3. Highlight
Disc Setup
from the Setup menu by using the joystick.
4. Confirm that
Basic
is highlighted.
5. Use the joystick to move to
Disc Timer Rec
on the
Basic
submenu.
6. Set
Disc Timer Rec
to ON.
Use the joystick to highlight ON then press
ENTER
.
Note: Ejecting the disc before programming at least one complete entry causes
the Disc Timer Rec option to revert automatically to OFF.
7. Press
SETUP
to exit the Disc Setup menu.
Program A Disc Timer Recording:
1. Load a recordable disc in to the recorder.
If loading an unformatted DVD-RW disc, it is automatically formatted as
a VR disc. This process requires approximately 40 seconds.
2. Press
SETUP
to display the Setup menu.
If disc timer recording is active, the first menu item is Disc Timer Rec.
3. Confirm that
Disc Timer Rec
is highlighted on the menu.
4. Press
ENTER
to access the
Disc Timer Rec
menu.
The Timer Recording program appears on screen with 8 entry lines
available.
5. Select an entry line by moving the joystick down/up.
6. Use the joystick to access an entry line.
