3. Why does the disc automatically eject after closing the disc tray?
Confirm that the disc is aligned in the tray properly with the label facing
up.
Remove the disc and clean the recording/recorded surface.
Verify that the region code is compatible with the PRV-9000 recorder.
4. Why won’t my disc play?
The media surface may contain dust or smudges. Clean the disc and
retry.
Verify that a region code on the disc matches the region code on the
recorder.
Check that the disc is aligned properly on the tray and that the label
facing up.
Condensation may have formed within the recorder. Allow the unit to
stabilize at the current room temperature for one to two hours before
attempting to play the disc.
5. Where did my settings go?
If the unit is unplugged or there is a power failure while the recorder is
ON, all settings return to the original default values. Returning the
recorder to Standby mode before unplugging the unit saves your settings.
6. Why did my screen go blank at the same time that all the buttons
stopped working?
The recorder has a command conflict. Press the STOP button on the
front panel of the unit and restart playback.

The symbol means that the operation you want to perform is unavailable
on that disc. The recorder is functioning properly.

The symbol means that the recorder prohibits the operation you want to
perform. The recorder is functioning properly.
9. Why did the remote control stop working?
Change the angle to test the operating range.
When this recorder is connected to other Pioneer devices through the
CONTROL IN/OUT ports, point the remote control at the other device(s).
The remote control’s ID number must match the recorder’s ID number.
