Spectrum RX I Getting Started Guide
The Spectrum RX I must be disconnected from all voltage sources before it is
opened for any adjustment, replacement, maintenance or repair.
WARNING
Any interruption of the protective earth conductor inside or
outside the Spectrum RX I or disconnection of the protective
earth terminal can make the instrument dangerous.
The Spectrum RX I has:
•
An IEC Installation Category (Overvoltage Category) II classification -
suitable for connection to local level power supplies.
•
An IEC Pollution Degree 2 classification - usually only non-conductive
atmospheric pollution of the equipment occurs; occasionally, however, a
temporary conductivity caused by condensation must be expected.
The Spectrum RX I is able to withstand transient overvoltages typically present
on the MAINS supply. The normal level of transient overvoltages is impulse
withstand (overvoltage) category II of IEC 60364-4-443.
EMC Compliance
EC directive
The Spectrum RX I has been designed and tested to meet the requirements of
the EC Directives 89/336/EEC and 93/68/EEC. The Spectrum RX I complies with
the EMC standards EN 61326 (Electrical equipment for measurement, control and
laboratory use) and EN 55011 (ISM) Class A (RF Emissions).
