Spectrum RX I Getting Started Guide
Protection of the eye during accidental, momentary intrabeam viewing of a
Class II/Class 2 laser beam is normally given by the eye’s aversion response,
including the blink reflex, which limits exposure of the eye to less than 0.25 s.
C.D.R.H. classifies a 633 nm laser radiation beam as Class II when it has a power level
in the range >3.9 ~W to 1000 ~W. BS EN 60825 and I.E.C. 825 classify a 633
nm laser radiation beam as Class 2 when it has a power level in the range
>6.8 ~W to 1000 ~W.
The typical level of 633 nm laser radiation that a user can access in the sample
compartment of the Spectrum RX I is 35 ~W.
WARNING
Do not stare into the laser beam. Staring into the laser beam
can cause permanent damage to your eyes.
