Performing a Digestion

Close the oven lid. The locks should make a click sound and the 

Start

 button on 

the Titan controller should turn from red to green, indicating that the door is fully 
closed and the system is ready.
 

Enter the Digestion and Sample Information

Once the method favorite has been selected, the 

Home

 screen will be displayed and 

the 

Method

 button will show the name of the currently selected method. 

1. Press the 

Start

 button to display the digestion comment screen and to begin the 

process of digestion.

Caution

The supplied vent tubes and hoses must always be properly connected and 
attached to an adequate exhaust system. 
Make sure the PFA gas containment manifold tube is securely attached so 
that it cannot slip out of its connection fitting.
