rate or fluctuates signifi-

Pressure calibration is not

DPC cap is contaminated.
DPC cap is damaged or needs
inspection and cleaning.
Inspect and clean the DPC
glass parts and polarization
film. (See Chapter 6, Mainte-
nance, DPC Cap Mainte-
nance.)
Replace piston o-rings.
Temperature begins with val-
ues >80° C during digestion
start
Defect on the temperature
sensor.
Highly exothermic reaction.

After adding acids, wait for
the reaction to taper off
before closing the caps.
Signals at unoccupied posi-
