moulding can remain in situ whilst the console assembly is disassembled by firstly
removing the front moulding (the screws are accessible all the time). The
instructions that follow for the removal of the front moulding components assume
that the rear moulding of the console assembly remains fixed to the printer
assembly throughout.
7.3.2
Removing The Front Moulding
1.
Working from the rear of the console and referring to Figure 17, undo and
remove the five M3 torx screws (Tx10 screwrdriver) securing the front
moulding to the rear moulding.
2.
Open the front moulding away from the rear moulding (like a book).
Note:- Care should be taken as there are cable assemblies that connect from the
front to the rear mouldings. The cable assemblies fitted depend on the
ETM’s functionality. A full system contains smart card, GPS and 3G/4G
cable connections.
3.
Unplug the following connectors from the console control PCB:- SKT5
(GPRS), SKT1 (SC), P1 (Printer I/F), GPS, PL5 (Speaker), J1 (Tray I/F) and
PL4 (SSN). Lay the front moulding on a flat surface with the console control
PCB facing upwards ready for further disassembly.
4.
Re-fit the front moulding by reversing these instructions. If GPS is fitted
ensure that the GPS cable is routed underneath the SC cable so that it does
not become trapped when refitting the moulding.
