Cleaning The Printer Roller
In extreme circumstances, and after considerable use, there may be a need to
clean the printer roller. If this is required, SWITCH OFF THE POWER to the ETM
before proceeding.
1.
Open the lid as described in Paragraph 7.2.1 and then remove the Wayfarer
6 retaining screws as described in Paragraph 7.2.2.
2.
Separate the console from the printer assembly (as shown in picture 1
below) enough that you have access to the front side of the printer
assembly. There is no need to unplug cables.
3.
Release the print head as described in Paragraph 6.2.2. The black print head
locking lever (shown in white for clarity above) should be in the position as
shown in picture 2 so that access can be gained to the printer roller and the
print head.
4.
Gently clean the printer roller using a lint-free cotton bud dampened with
isopropanol alcohol. The roller can be turned by finger pressure.
5.
When the roller is clean, re-lock the print head and refit by reversing these
instructions.
