10.1 Report messages (KX-MB1520/KX-MB1530 only)
To indicate the unit’s fax transmission/reception status, one of the following messages will be printed on the sending
and journal reports (page 39).

R A transmission or reception error occurred. Try
again or check with the other party.

44 R A line problem occurred. Connect the telephone line
cord to a different jack and try again.
R An overseas transmission error occurred. Try using
the overseas mode (feature #411 on page 56).
DOCUMENT JAMMED ----- R Remove the jammed document (page 78).

70 R A transmission or reception error occurred because
of a problem with the other party’s fax machine.
Check with the other party.
JUNK FAX PROH. REJECT ----- R The junk fax prohibitor feature of this unit rejected
fax reception.
MEMORY FULL ----- R The memory is full of received documents due to a
lack of recording paper or a recording paper jam.
Load paper (page 13) or remove the jammed paper
(page 75).
R If the PC fax setting (feature #442 on page 59) is set
to
“
ALWAYS
” , check the connection between the
computer and the unit.
NO DOCUMENT / FAILED PICKUP ----- R The document was not fed into the unit properly.
Re-insert it and try again.
OTHER FAX NOT RESPONDING ----- R The other party’s fax machine is busy or has run out
of recording paper. Try again.
R The other party’s fax machine rings too many times.
Send the fax manually (page 38).
R The other party’s machine is not a fax machine.
Check with the other party.
R The number you dialled is not in service.
PRESSED THE ‘Stop’ KEY ----- R M Stop N was pressed and fax communication was
cancelled.
THE COVER WAS OPENED ----- R The front cover was opened. Close it and try again.
OK ----- R Fax transmission or reception was successful.
