9.3.3 Control with 1 switch:
Open:
at maximum speed, as long as switch is activated
Close:
after releasing the switch the Hand automatically closes at maximum speed and
begins to grasp the object with 10 N grip force.
Attention
:
Plug the red/white cable of the 13E99 Connecting Cable to closing side of the
9E169 Coaxial Plug (Fig. 6: (1) Battery Connecting Cable, (2) Electrode, (3)

9.4 Program 4:
VarioControl
Blue coding plug
Control with 1 electrode or 1 linear transducer
With this program, the opening speed is determined by the level and speed of the muscle sig-
nal. The closing speed is determined by the reduction of the muscle tension.
FlexiGrip is effective at maximal grip force. Once the grasp is secure the SensorHand Speed
reverts to the initial grip force.
Open:
Proportional. Opening speed is determined by level and speed of muscle
tension
.
Close:
Proportional. Closing speed is determined by speed and strength of muscle
relaxation.
This also affects the level of the maximal AutoGrasp grip force
increase.
Stop:
Very slow muscle relaxation to the electrode, Hand stops in an opened position.
Example 1:
After opening the amputee very slowly relaxes the muscle. Closing is
simultaneous to the length of muscle relaxation time. The object is grasped with
low force (10 N). There is no automatic grip force increase.
