Connect one end of the null modem cable that we supplied with your 8700i
to the

Serial 1 connector

on the 8700i’s rear panel.

Connect the other end to your computer’s COM port.

You are now ready to connect your computer to your 8700i through a null modem
cable connected to your computer’s serial port. Refer to

Installing 8700i PC Remote

Control Software

(page 2-66).

Prepare the 8700i for modem connection through serial port 1:
