As for thread cutting there are other conditions as for longitudinal turning, the forward cutter
must show a larger clearance as the pitch angle of the thread.

Cooling lubricants
WARNING!
Ejection and overflowing of coolants and lubricants. Make sure you do not get the
cooling lubricants on the floor. Spilled on the floor cooling agents must be removed
immediately.
Friction during the cutting process causes high temperatures at the cutting edge of the tool. The
tool should be cooled during the milling process. Cooling the tool with a suitable cooling lubri-
cant ensures better working results and a longer service life of the cutting tool.
Switch the coolant pump (6) on.
Set the flow rate with the shut-off and metering tap (7)
ATTENTION!
Destruction of the pump due dry running. The pump is lubricated by the cooling agent.
Do not operate the pump without coolant.
INFORMATION
Use a water-soluble and non-pollutant emulsion as a cooling agent.This can be acquired from
authorised distributors.
Make sure that the cooling agent is properly retrieved. Respect the environment when dispos-
ing of lubricants and coolants. Follow the manufacturer’s disposal instructions.
