The OSS interface card is not coming out of reset. Try reseating the OSS Interface card, or try another OSS Interface card, see if that fixes
the problem. You can try moving the Interface card to another PCIe slot. Try testing it with another computer.
Q: Can I move the OSS PCIe host card to another PCIe slot on my computer motherboard?

Yes, you can as long you follow the proper procedure. Shutdown the computer and expansion chassis, disconnect the cable and move the
host card to another PCIe slot.
Q: Can I replace the existing OSS power supply with a higher wattage power supply?

Yes, you can as long as the power supply is certified by OSS.
Q: Can I connect the OSS expansion unit to computer that has a PCI slot?
A:
No, you cannot plug in the OSS Host interface card to a PCI slot.
Q: The OSS expansion unit is not powering ON, the backplane green LED is not coming ON also, do I have a dead power supply?

Yes, you have a dead power supply. Make sure to recheck all your power connection and check the power supply switch make sure it is set
to ON position.

If you bought an old expansion on EBay and it is not working, most likely you have a defective / faulty OSS hardware.
Q: Can I connect my old OSS expansion unit to Mac Pro tower using the OSS PCIe x8 Gen host card?

Yes, you can use the x8 Gen2 host card with EB3200 model and it is compatible with Mac Pro tower.
Q: Can I upgrade my 3slot expansion board and backplane to the latest revision?

Yes, as long as the expansion board and backplane are mechanically the same form factor as your original boards.
Q: Can I swap the Gen3 interface card with the x8 Gen2 Interface cards (host and expansion)?

Yes, you can replace your Gen3 Interface cards to Gen2. The part# is 01-04978-03-00. You would need to replace the cable also. Your
existing Gen3 cable is not compatible with Gen2 Interface card.
