3 Software Installation
3.1
Install Software
Skip this part, you do not need to install driver or software for the OSS EB3200 expansion unit.
IMPORTANT
OSS requires no driver for Windows, Mac OS, Linux and other Operating Systems.
3.2
Software Check - Verify Installation
3.2.1 Windows 7 and 8
Open ACPI (BIOS)
Open PCI Bus
Click the ‘+’ sign several times until your reach a PCI Express Root Port or PCI Standard PCI-to-PCI Bridge
with a PCI Standard PCI-to-PCI Bridge beneath it. If the verification is successful, you can install third Party cards as well as auxiliary peripherals,
such as hard drives into the chassis. If, however, the installation was unsuccessful, you may not see the PCI to PCI Bridge, or it will have a small
yellow symbol in front of it.
The picture below is showing three instances of PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridges. These are the three OSS PCIe slots in the expansion chassis.
