Data Exchange Methods
The ASCII Unit can exchange data with the CPU Unit in the following five
ways.

The CPU Unit designates its own read/write area in memory. If a PC
READ/WRITE command is then specified from the CPU Unit, the ASCII
Unit uses the PC READ/WRITE command to access the memory area in-
dicated by the CPU Unit.

The ASCII Unit independently accesses the CPU Unit I/O memory. The
CPU Unit’s user program is not required at all.
