BEFORE TRANSMISSION/COPYING
DOCUMENTS THAT CAN BE SENT/COPIED
The facsimile machine can read all documents on ordinary paper with a format between the minimum and
maximum limits indicated below:
By means of the automatic document feeder (ADF), the facsimile machine can handle A3, B4, A4, A5, A6,
LETTER and LEGAL format documents with a thickness of between 0.07 mm and 0.14 mm. The ADF can feed
up to 25 sheets (max. 0.1 mm thick) of A4, A5, A6, LETTER and LEGAL format paper and 15 sheets (max.
0.1 mm thick) of A3 and B4 format paper.
Check the document before sending it; if it belongs to one of the following types of documents, it must be
photocopied or inserted in a special transparent cover. The copy must then be sent, in place of the original.
The following tyes of original must not be used:
•
damp or moist;
•
torn or perforated;
•
folded or crumpled;
•
with paper clips or staples;
•
with carbon paper rears;
•
with a width of less than 168 mm and a length of less than 105 mm (e.g. cheques, current account receipts,
etc.);
•
with a width of more than 297 mm and a length of over 2 m;
•
transparencies for overhead projectors.
PREPARING THE DOCUMENT FOR TRANSMISSION/COPYING
Inserting the document is the first step in all transmission/copying operations. Before sending or copying a
document, follow the instructions given below:

The facsimile machine is on. Position the mask (right-hand section of the console) to display the function
keys.
INSERTING THE DOCUMENT
First of all, check that the document is not tattered, does not have paper clips or a glossy surface, etc. See
the precautions listed above.
