Chapter 2 Principles of Operation

 

2.2.04 Main Motor

This pulse motor is driven by the motor drive IC(M54646). It is two-phase excited and 
bipolar-driven according to the DM-PH0 and DM-PH1 signals generated from the LSI. The level of 
the input voltage to the VR1 and VR2 terminals is compared with that of the voltage drop across 
R35, R36, R94 and R95 fed back to pins 1 and 28. The coil current is kept constant by cutting off 
the drive time temporarily when the feedback voltage is higher.

This pulse motor is driven in the reverse direction in the following case.
