Cleaning and maintenance
Always unplug before cleaning and maintenance.
How to clean the appliance:
• Never immerse the appliance or the cord in water or any other liquid.
• Do not use scouring detergents, as this might damage the material.
• Use a damp cloth and a small amount of washing-up liquid to remove any
residues and dust around the components of the appliance. Wipe with a
hand towel or similar.
• Clean the sealing strip (1) of the appliance and the lower gasket (6) by
carefully loosening them from the appliance. Rinse in water and let dry
completely before putting them back. Be careful that they are positioned
correctly in order to avoid any air leakage during use. The upper gasket
(2) can be wiped with a damp cloth. If a gasket is damaged it should be
replaced by a new one (to be ordered with OBH Nordica 08-629 25 00).
How to clean vacuum bags:
• Clean the vacuum bags in warm water and a small amount of washing-up
liquid.
• If the vacuum bags are to be washed in a dishwasher, turn the vacuum bags
inside out and put them in the upper basket of the dishwasher to ensure
that the entire surface of the bag is in contact with water.
• Let the vacuum bags dry thoroughly after cleaning.
NOTE!
Due to risk of infection, never reuse vacuum bags that have been used
for raw meat, raw fish or fat. Never reuse bags that have been treated in the
microwave oven or that have been simmering in water.
How to clean vacuum containers:
• The vacuum container can be cleaned in warm water with a washing-
up liquid. The container itself can be washed in the upper basket of the
dishwasher.
• Wipe the lid with a damp cloth.
Note!
Do not immerse the lid in water.
• Be sure that all parts are completely dry before you use them again.
How to clean the lunch box:
The lunch box and the lid shall be hand washed or washed in the upper basket
in the dishwasher.
How to clean marinating box:
The vacuum container can be cleaned and washed in the dishwasher (not the
lid). Never use solvents for cleaning.
If it looks as if dirt has penetrated under the white protection lid at the under
side of the lid, you can remove the protection lid and hand wash it. Wipe dry the
underside of the lid of the vacuum container with a damp cloth before you put
the protection lid back on. Check that the protection lid is properly positioned.
Note that the entire lid cannot be hand washed; only the white protection lid.
