There is air after the
vacuum packing
process:
Leakage along the sealing can be due to wrinkles,
liquid or particles. Wipe the bag opening/the lid
before sealing. Dirt or liquid in the bag opening can
make it difficult to seal the bag. Open the bag and
wipe around the opening before you put it horizontally
on top of the sealing element.
Let the appliance rest for 1 minute between each
process in order to avoid overheating and the bag
being sealed before time.
Check that the bag opening is above the sealing
element and in the vacuum channel.
Check that the gaskets are complete, clean and
positioned correctly.
The vacuum bag may leak. Check the bag by sealing
it with some air in it and immerse it in water. If the
bag emits bubbles, it is leaking. Seal the bag again
or use a new one. Only use original vacuum bags/
containers from OBH Nordica.
Check whether there is a hole in the vacuum bag. Do
not vacuum pack products that may damage the bag
(such as e.g. fishbone, hard shells etc.)
We recommend that there is a gap of 7 cm between
the raw materials and the opening of the bag.
However, if there is too much air between the raw
materials and the opening of the bag, it may be
difficult to empty the bag completely for air during the
vacuum sealing process. If so, you could cut a part of
the bag to make it shorter.
