This selection is only visible when
using 3-phase variants of the Elexant
4010i/4020i controllers. It has two options:
(i) L-N (Line to Neutral): Select this option
when the trace voltage is being measured
between Line and Neutral.
(ii) L-L (Line to Line): Select this option
when the trace voltage is being measured
between phases.
Note: Refer to Table 21 in Section 5.5.4 for

NOTE:
If the Trace Voltage tab is flashing and the setpoint value is highlighted in red, its setting is invalid.
Check the Voltage Turns Ratio and adjust its setting within the correct range.
5.8.3.2 Voltage Turns Ratio
Purpose:
The Voltage Turns Ratio adjusts voltage readings for applications where a control module is switching
a load through a step-up or step-down transformer, or is being powered from a source with a different
voltage level than the trace voltage.
The Voltage Turns Ratio value can be used to multiply or divide the Trace Voltage measured by the
controller.
Figure 116 - Voltage Turns Ratio Setting
Range:
0.01 – 10.00V
Default:
1.00
Procedure:
•
Adjust the Voltage Turns Ratio (VTR) to equal the ratio of the heating circuit voltage to the control
module input voltage
•
After setting the Voltage Turns Ratio, compare the voltage indicated by the controller to the actual
measured heat trace voltage and adjust the VTR until the two readings are as close as possible
IMPORTANT:
When the Voltage Turns Ratio has been set appropriately, the control unit will calculate
the heating circuit power using the adjusted current and voltage readings. Voltage alarms also use the
adjusted voltage reading.
