Figure 59: Extension arm and motor arm with pre-assembled
swivel stop
15.5 Condition of the swivel stop on the extension
arm and the motor arm supplied
15.5.1 Extension arm and motor arm with pre-assembled swivel
stop
(See "Figure 59")
The system is supplied by default with the 2 ball stops② and the
setscrew① pre-assembled.
The swivel range of the motor arm
4
, the extension arm with motor arm
5
or the XL extension arm with motor arm
5
is thus restricted to 0 de
-
grees. This ensures that the extension arm and the motor arm cannot be
rotated and no internal supply cables can tear off.
To adjust the swivel stops
Dismantle the swivel stops as described in Chapter 15.6.4 on Page 79.
15.5.2 Extension arm and motor arm without pre-assembled
swivel stop
(See "Figure 59")
In exceptional cases the 2 ball stops② and the setscrew① are delivered
as separate components, which means that the motor arm
4
, the exten
-
sion arm with motor arm
5
or the XL extension arm with motor arm
5
can be rotated infinitely beyond 360 degrees.
Electric shock hazard
At least 1 ball stop must be mounted in order to prevent
the internal supply cables twisting off. This individual ball
stop serves as twist protection:
• If no swivel stops have been pre-assembled, the
extension arm and the motor arm must not be rotated
before the swivel stops have been mounted.
• Mount at least 1 ball stop as described in Chapter
15.6.3 on Page 78 in order to restrict the angle of rota
-
tion of the extension arm and the motor arm to 340
degrees.
To adjust the swivel stops
•
Mount the swivel stops as described in Chapter 15.6 on Page 77.
