15.4 Correcting the vertical alignment of the Naviga

After mounting an end device (e.g. medical device, etc.) it may be neces

sary to vertically align this end device.
15.4.1 Opening the bottom rear cover
(See "Figure 58")
Tool to be used
Use an Allen key (size 2).
1. Follow the general safety instructions prescribed in Chapter 15.1 on
Page 72.
2. Unscrew the 2 Allen countersunk screws M3 x 10mm① from the 2
openings③.
3. Disengage the 2 latches②.
4. Manually route the bottom rear cover④ completely downwards until
it points downwards in a fully vertical position.
•
To remove the cover④, swivel it approx. 45 degrees downwards.
Make sure that this position is passed before releasing the cover④ .
15.4.2 Correcting the vertical alignment

Tool to be used
Use an Allen key (size 4) and a spanner wrench (size 36).
5. Loosen the setscrew M4⑦ – DIN 914.
6. Place the spanner wrench onto the hexagonal bolt⑤ .

The indicator screw⑥ points downwards (do not loosen this screw).
To lower e.g. the shelf:
•
Rotate the hexagonal bolt⑤ such that the indicator screw⑥ points
forwards (towards you). See “Figure 58:” Detail view, bottom.
To lift e.g. the shelf:
•
Turn the hexagonal bolt ⑤ such that the indicator screw⑥ points
backwards (away from you). See “Figure 58:” Detail view, bottom.
7. Perform a function test.
8. Tighten the setscrew M4⑦ – DIN 914.
NOTE – Vertical alignment changing
The vertical alignment can change progressively during
use if the setscrew M4⑦ – DIN 914 has not been properly
tightened:
The Navigator M6 no longer remains stable in its adjusted
position:
• Tighten the setscrew M4⑦ – DIN 914 with a tightening
torque of 2Nm.

9. Shut the bottom rear cover④ as described in Chapter 15.3.4 on
Page 74.
