Deleting text
Use

to move the cursor to the text you want to
delete and hold down

The selected face symbol is displayed at the top next time the
face symbols list is displayed.
<Half pitch/Full pitch>

You cannot switch the full-pitch/half-pitch modes in “Kanji/
hiragana input mode”.
<Line feed>

You can delete or overwrite the line-feed symbol “ ” in the
same way as other characters.
z
The line-feed symbol “ ” is counted as 1 full-pitch
character. However, it is counted differently in SMS message
body.

You may not be able to insert a line feed symbol “ ” in an
i-mode text box.

You cannot enter full-pitch symbols in the e-mail address
registration screen, i-mode mail address input screen or URL

displayed, the mode reverts to the prior mode set in the text
entry mode (P.345).

In the text entry (edit) screens for specific items such as
postal codes, it may not be able to switch the text entry mode.
<T9 Kana CHG mode/T9 Kanji CHG mode>

This setting is valid for only the current text entry (edit) screen.
The next time the text entry (edit) screen is displayed, the
conversion mode reverts to the “T9 change mode” setting
(P.356).
