Switching tasks
When you are running multiple tasks, you can switch
the tasks.

While launching multiple tasks

The task menu list screen appears.
■ On the standby screen or text entry (edit)
screen

(for 1 second or longer).

Select a task
The screen for the selected task appears.
Note that “Stand-by display” is not
displayed in the Task menu when
voice call function is being used.
● Ending a task
You can end a task in any of the following ways:
・ Switch to the task to be ended

・ Highlight the task to be ended in the Task
menu

・ To end all the active tasks, press

the Task menu is displayed “YES”

Using the FOMA Terminal as an
Hourglass
Default setting 1 minute
You can use the hourglass for 1 minute, 3 minutes or
5 minutes.

The “Hourglass Start screen” appears.

Turn the FOMA terminal upside
down, then set back to the original
position.
The countdown starts and the sands of the hourglass
start to fall on the screen. A passing tone sounds at
every 1 minute.
When the counter becomes “0:00” and the fall of sands
finishes, an alarm tone sounds for about 5 minutes.
■ To stop the countdown and restart the timer
Turn the FOMA terminal upside down, then set
back to the original position.
The timer is reset when the FOMA terminal is
turned upside down and the timer starts when
the FOMA terminal is set back to the original
position.

To stop the alarm tone

to return to the select time screen.
■ To use the key operation
・ Pressing

on the hourglass start screen starts
the countdown.
・ The counting stops when

is pressed during
the countdown. Press

again to reset the timer.

In the following cases, one task is added to compose mail
while viewing mail. If 3 tasks are already running and you
perform the operation below, a message is displayed, stating
that the task cannot run. End a task other than a mail group
task and then perform the operation. “Ending a Task” → P.302
・ Composing a new mail from the mail menu
・ Composing an SMS from the mail menu
・ Composing a Deco-Mail using template
・ Replaying/replying with quote/forwarding a received mail
・ Editing a sent mail
・ Editing a draft mail

If you use procedures that access menu functions such as
UIM operation or Display design while other menu functions
are running, a warning tone sounds and a warning message
is displayed. If this occurs, quit the other menu functions
before using the procedures that access menu functions.
